Dr Nyaz Najmadeen Noori holds a PhD in Economics. His was awarded PhD at Exeter University in the United Kingdom in 2012. He currently holds the chair in Business at Komar University. As guest researcher, he was invited by Department of Economic History in Lund (Sweden) where he published an article on the Economic Reform in Kurdistan Region in British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies.  His research interests include Human Development, Gender Inequality, and Political Economy of Kurdistan Region and Iraq. 
Dr Nyaz has experience of teaching in more than four universities since 2004. His book on Macroeconomics (in Kurdish) co-authored with Prof Hoshiar Maruf will soon be published. Currently, he teaches Principles of Microeconomics and Human Resource Management in the Department of Business at KUST.
Also, he has acted as advisor to various public and private institutions in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, most notably Board of Investment and Komar University.
